Program Training & Projects Mentors Placement Support Eligibility

Program

Our program is designed to take you from zero coding knowledge all the way to job-readiness. You’ll learn programming fundamentals, data structures & algorithms, front-end and back-end development, database design, and cloud basics. Along the way exposure to real-world workflows. By the end, you’ll have a complete portfolio and feel confident applying for developer roles.

Not at all. We assume little to no programming background. If you already know a bit of HTML/CSS or have tinkered with Python, fantastic, but it’s not required.

You receive a Softflew Certificate of Completion, which comes with a unique verification code you can share on LinkedIn or with recruiters.

As soon as you’ve completed the program, you’ll be “interview-ready.” Many students begin applying before completion, since we provide mock interviews and resume feedback early.

Training & Projects

Each assignment has a clear project brief. We look at does your code work?, is it clean and well-documented?, and creativity. Your mentor or a senior teaching assistant provides written feedback. You also get to review peers’ projects to understand different approaches and best practices.

Yes, up to a point. In early stages, projects are fully guided. But once you reach the later stage, you propose your own idea. We’ll review your proposal. Once approved, you build it under mentor supervision.

No worries, that’s why Week 0 exists. In your first few days, we guide you step-by-step through installing, and deploying a “Hello World” app. We also run short workshops that cover each component so when you start your first assignment, you’re not battling unfamiliar software.

You are free to ask for help. You can connect with your mentor for guidance. Our goal is to help you solve the problem without giving away the entire solution. In rare cases, we’ll arrange an extra code review session to get you unblocked.

Mentors

Our mentors are working developers, ex-engineers from startups, and senior faculty who have spent 3–10 years in the tech industry. Each mentor not only writes and debugs code daily but also has experience guiding interns or junior engineers. Before joining Softflew, they undergo a “mentorship bootcamp” where we train them in teaching best practices and student engagement.

Mentors at Softflew wear two hats: they are your coding coaches and your career-prep buddies. If you need resume feedback, mock interview practice, or industry insights (e.g., “What skills do local hiring managers value right now?”), they’ve got you covered. This blend ensures you’re not just technically sound but also market-smart.

All mentors go through an internal application and screening process. We look for a minimum of three years’ full-time coding experience, plus proven mentorship history. Once they’re teaching, we collect anonymous student feedback every month.

In most cases, yes. We believe consistency is key to building trust and rapport. However, for specialized modules, you might get mentors who are subject-matter experts for some weeks. Once that module is done, you return to your primary mentor for the rest of the journey.

Placement Support

Our placement support is a multi-step process:

Resume & Portfolio Building: We help you craft a concise, recruiter-friendly resume and GitHub portfolio.
Mock Interviews: Weekly mock technical interviews covering coding, system design, and behavioral questions.
Job Referrals: We share a network of hiring partners, startups, mid-size tech firms, and local enterprises, and refer top performers directly.
Soft Skills Workshops: Dedicated sessions for communication, personality development, and teamwork to round out your “hireability.”

Placement support kicks in as early as you join. We run “intro to resume” workshops, share basic interview tips, and hold soft skills sessions. By mid of the course, you’re already doing mock coding interviews. By the end, you’re polishing your final projects and portfolio pieces. This way, you’re interview-ready well before completion.

Our hiring network includes 30+ companies ranging from local tech startups in Lucknow and around UP and remote-friendly companies overseas.

We run weekly soft-skills training classes. They cover techniques to manage nerves, body language tips for video calls, and frameworks for answering behavioral questions. If you need one-on-one coaching, just request it in the student portal, and we’ll pair you with our soft-skills mentor.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

You don’t need to be a computer science major. We welcome anyone with a basic interest in tech-engineering students, diploma holders, or even a final-year BCA/BCS student. The only real prerequisite is a willingness to learn and dedicate time.

No formal coursework is required. We start with absolute beginners, covering essentials like variables, loops, and simple algorithms. If you’ve already taken that online or self-studied some basics, great, but it’s not mandatory.

At minimum, you’ll need:

A laptop or desktop
A stable internet connection for live sessions, video streaming, and downloading materials.
Free tools that we’ll guide you to install.

There’s no strict age limit. Whether you’re 18 or 40, if you have the drive, you’re welcome. The only academic “requirement” is a high-school diploma (or equivalent). For applicants who are still in their final year of college/polynomial/diploma, you can start as long as you’ll have your certificate by the time placement support kicks in.

Ensure you know what to expect (time commitment, curriculum focus).
